COCO'S BURLESQUE WORKSHOPS

CLASSIC TECHNIQUE

In this 90-minute technique-focused workshop inspired by the Jazz Era and Golden Age of burlesque.

This class centres on the iconic classic burlesque silhouettes—think clean lines, deliberate pacing, refined gestures, and confident presence. We’ll explore foundational movement, posture, transitions, and expressive details that create unmistakably classic shapes on stage, while honouring the artistry that defined early burlesque performance.

Designed for all levels, this workshop welcomes beginners looking to build strong fundamentals as well as experienced performers who want to refine and deepen their classic technique. Variations and guidance will be offered so everyone can move comfortably and confidently at their own pace.

This is a safe, inclusive, and body-positive space where all identities, bodies, and experience levels are celebrated. Props will be provided, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the movement and aesthetic without needing to bring anything extra.

WHAT TO WEAR : Bring something you are comfortable to dance in that also allows you to feel sensual and empowered. I always encourage a bit of lipstick too if ya fancy! Bring heels and water, to stay hydrated and fabulous!

BUMP & GRIND

Sink into your curves and step back into the glamour of the 1950s and 60s, where burlesque was all about attitude, hips, and vivacious energy. This class is a loving homage to the original bombshells and burlesque sirens who made the bump-and-grind iconic. Women like Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Gypsy Rose Lee, Tempest Storm, and the sultry, panther-like presence of Eartha Kitt.

This 90-minute session is slow, juicy, and grounded, designed to help you own your sensuality without rushing it. We’ll explore how tease lives not in big tricks, but in timing, texture, and confidence.
